Tdap vaccination for moms- yes or no? Have you had it? This is my 4th child and I've never had to have it before.. Confused.

Yes I made anyone that wanted to be around my LO before six week old to get it. He was a preemie and whooping cough is so serious in newborns

Yes definitely. It helps vaccinate baby from pertussis, which is fatal in newborns (not always, but can be). And then if you breastfeed baby is protected for 8 weeks after birth. Right in time for his/her first shots.

Whooping cough has made a come back recently, that may be why they didn't have you get it before. Also the newest research has shown that if you get vaccinated while pregnant you pass some of your immunity to the baby before he is even born!

Yes. My husband would have gotten it too but he's allergic.

Yes. The cdc recommends it now with every pregnancy. I got it even though I was up to date so LO could get some immunity.

Yes! Whooping cough is very common in some states! I got it as well as my husband.
