So my mom wants me eating healthy throughout my whole pregnancy and i understand why .. But sometimes I crave hot Cheetos or deli meats and little other things that she says I can't eat . Is it honestly okay though ? ..,

It's okay to eat anything you want, especially if you crave it. I would crave buffalo wild wings all the time, and i had them like once a month. Or candy i had so much sweets. And my baby is really healthy. It ll depends what it is.

I have the same problem its hard! Theres times where thats the only thing that sounds good to eat or is easily accessible. I tend to go for microwavable or oven dinner/lunches because cooking is hard to handle right now

I stayed away from things like lunch meat and hot dogs as much as possible, anything really processed like that.

You know it really depends on the baby. Some babies can actually be effected by what you eat but most won't be.

I ate everything!!! (: But I did recently read that Cheetos, Doritos, & Nutella should be avoided! Lol. Such a silly article it was.

You can indulge yourself sometimes! Esp if you are otherwise eating really well. It won't hurt!

Eating healthy is great but we all need the occasional indulgence. There's no reason you can't have hot Cheetos. My OB said the risk with deli meats is listeria & the likelihood is so tiny he's never seen a case in 25 years of practice.

I think people just come up with crazy stuff. I've NEVER heard of Cheetos because a no no during pregnancy. I ate them all through my first pregnancy and all through this one and my kids are perfectly healthy. I love Cheetos! Lol. And I've always eaten deli meat. I've heard that it's perfectly safe if you hear it up. But I didn't even do that half the time.

I ate everything, deli meat, beef jerky from the meat market, crab, lobster, fish, but of course only every once in awhile:) moderation

Nuke lunchmeat in the microwave before eating just to kill off the bacteria but yes you can eat pretty much what you want. Be careful with fish though

The only thing I didn't eat was sushi (raw fish/seafood)... Other than that I had to put up with some wicked heartburn but baby turned out perfectly healthy :)

Some of these things your just running the risk of food poisoning which your baby can't handle. Deli meat is considered safe of you were to heat it up first. That bring said I did sat some not a lot and was fine. And Cheetos- just go for it there maybe not healthy but they won't harm you.

You can eat deli meat as long as it's heated/cooked. You can go to subway and get the sandwich heated/grilled and you are fine. I did follow all the rules, it's such a short period of time.

I avoid deli meat but if I'm really craving a sub I will get the chicken breast or teriyaki chicken breast pieces so I don't feel like I'm missing out. Soft cheeses should be avoided too so just be cautious of that. I do think it's all in proportion though. Once a month for these things is different then twice a week for example !

I had gestational diabetes and was on a low carb diet to avoid insulin and meds. It worked great because I was back in my regular weight and shape in 2 months and had 7 pound babies Eat whatever you want within reasonable limits and if you crave it for sure go for it! My ob told me: you cans till eat everything, maybe only a small scoop of ice cream and not a pint, but if you eat it get the real stuff

For deli meat he said put it in the microwave until you hear it sizzle then it is ok

I ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted (within reason). I didn't even know about the deli meat thing until 34 weeks and i eat a sandwich every day for lunch....everything turned out just fine πŸ˜€
