Since couple of weeks I have been losing lot of hair but today I was very shocked to see lot of hair in bathtub and in comb after shower. I have no idea what's the cause for it. Is anyone facing the same problem and what's the remedy for hair loss?

Did you recently have a baby? Post partum hair loss is very common! It's just something we have to get through unfortunately. Make sure you're taking your prenatal vitamins

The biotin in your prenatals help, mid to late pregnancy you don't shed hair you just grow thanks to hormones after baby you lose the hair you grew but it's only temporary.

Recently had a baby? If so: don't worry. You are not losing more hair than normal, you're just losing all the hair you /didn't lose/ while you were pregnant, and all at the same time. It's a hormone thing. It's saves everything it can (fat, hair) while baby making and then you're left to play catch-up after birth. It'll take a while to go stop, I've heard even longer if you BF. My LO is six months and it's slowed down a bit now. But it's still a scary thing to look at XD

I agree with cyndi, if you just had a baby, it is probably due to that. Hormones are in flux for awhile. However, if you haven't recently had a baby, you might get your thyroid checked. Yet another hormone that when out of balance can cause hair loss. Good luck!

I have 18 months old twins and already lost lot of hair when I was pregnant . I almost loose around 200 strands per day 😔.

Oh my goodness, it's like I'm shedding like Sasquatch! I just had a baby 5 months ago and the hair loss is ridiculous...but normal. As unnerving as it is, if you just had a baby it's just your body trying to get back to normal. PNV's do help, as well as biotin and protein (a scoop of peanut butter in your oatmeal...etc). If it's really bothering you, a convo with your doc can help put your mind at ease. Don't be discouraged if you don't see massive improvement - just focus on being healthy!

Try a scalp massage at least twice weekly with few drops of rosemary oil in a palmful of coconut oil. Let it sit for a little while before shampooing it off. You could also add a few drops of rosemary oil in your shampoo and conditioner.

Yeah same here. My hair has been falling out like crazy just within this past month. I'm 5 months pp, I suppose it just happens.

Tisha, if you're still losing after 18 months, I'd see your primary. Most pp hair loss is within the first 6-8 months and then it starts growing back. Are you eating healthy and drinking lots of water? Any changes in your hair care products or routine? Anything else different?

I went through the same. Tons, by the handful. Three months after giving birth and lasted three months more. Insane.

When I was pregnant I don't know if it was the hormones or the prenatal but my hair grew like crazy after I had my son there was significant hair loss so I guess it balanced itself out No worries just keep taken good care of yourself find a multivitamin that works for you & don't stress it Stress also makes it worse

Same here. I think that's why you see so many new moms cuttting their hair short. Wait til it starts growing back you have all these little shortys sticking up every where lol

Totally normal after the baby. I lost so much hair at my forehead hairline but it grew back pretty fast. It looked weird though. I totally know how you feel though! It's like isn't it bad enough the body changes I went through, now this?! Give me a break here! Haha It will grow back soon hang in there.

Rub coconut oil on your scalp & deep condition your hair once a week

I lost hair 9 months after giving birth. Just takes a while for your body and hormones to go back to normal.

Hair loss, especially while nursing, is very common and usually happens around month 5. No need to worry!! It will grow back.
