Opinions on circumcision.?

My oldest in circumcised and has so many problems, my youngest isn't and so far he's good. It's not necessary, and your baby is perfect the way they are 😊

I got it done to my son. My husband was and said he wanted it done to our son too. I left the option up to him. The first day it looked bad, but he healed up really fast. And we've had no problems.

We said no. I could've gone either way but it seemed unnecessary. Didn't want to subject LO to any pain for no reason. Pedi said these days 40% of boys are uncircumcised. Pedi said 'he will be happy with his penis either way.' :-) It's a touchy subject so you might get some strong opinions on this one!

It's a cosmetic surgery and is not recommended by any major health organization. It's there for a reason.

I didn't do it for my son and won't be doing it for my soon to be other son. My fiancΓ© didn't want to from the start and I was having very mix feelings so I did a lot of research to have peace about it and was pretty surprised what all the researches I found. It came down to the only reason for circumcision is the cosmetics. But do what's best for you and your son

I chose not to circumcise , its really not necessary. You could try watching this video called "an Elephant in a hospital" it opened my eyes when i was doubtful.

My son is not. After going through the pain of having a c-section there was no way I voids elect to put my son through a surgery. He is fine and has no issues. I'm happy with my choice.

A foreskin: Has 20,000 nerve endings Is the most sensitive part of a mans penis Increases sexual pleasure for both partners Keeps the glans healthy, clean, moist and sensitive Protects the urethra from contaminants Its there for a reason

I think it's personal choice to be honest... Do what you think is best for your son. My son was absolutely fine after few days. They say long term it's better for them, but honestly do what you want.

Less traumatizing to do it now rather than him be embarrassed about it later then have to go through it. The process is a little rough on mommies heart but they don't remember it and it should heal fine.

I let my hubby decide because I didn't have strong feelings either way. I cried when they took him, and he was snoozing when they brought him back and it never bothered my LO at all. They numb it topically and give them some sort of sugary supplement (I can't remember exactly what it is) to distract and keep them calm though.

The only thing about being uncircumcised is they have to be extremely clean. Can get infections easily. Both my boys are circumcised.

My husband is and so we got our son done. It took less than a week to heal and we didn't have an issues. It's not as common as it used to be that's for sure. What made me choose to do it was hearing about 4 different people in my friends and family not having it done and having issues later. One had to have it done when he was 50 from ongoing infections, and a 50 yr old should know how to keep things clean. Totally a personal option nowadays but one that I do not regret at all

I chose to do it. Around here it is still widely done, and I've unfortunately seen lots of mothers making fun of uncircumcised boys. Not saying it's right, but I didn't want my son feeling embarrassed by peers, girls, or anyone else because we didn't do it. Then again maybe he'll grow up and wish he hadn't had it done. It's honestly a toss up bc you just don't know how they're gonna feel about it one day...it was a tough decision for us. But we've had no problems.

I knew a guy who was not and was very embarrassed and self conscious about the way it looked. To each is own.

My hubby is, so we got our son done. A big reason why I'm pro, is because my cousin had to be when he was 16. He got a really bad infection. I would rather limit the possibilities of that happening now than when he's older. We've had no issues and are happy with it. It's ultimately only a decision you and your partner can make. No one can tell you what route to go. As long as you two agree together that's what's important.

2 boys. I didn't. I read up so many facts about it. It's more of a tradition of religion thing than. Necessary thing I think

My best friends brother wasn't circumcised and he is sterile and had a lot of problems with it growing up. But it's totally up to the parents and either decision is fine.

My son was circumcised the day after he was born with no issues. Just make sure you apply petroleum jelly with each diaper change. Deciding to get my son circumcised was a no-brainier for me and my husband. I think it's more hygienic and prevents infections. No offense to anyone that doesn't believe in it. It's all about your personal preference. Honestly, the foreskin grosses me out lol and I didn't want him to feel embarrassed later on.
