Ok. My friends baby shower is coming up. She's having a girl. I don't want to get her stuff that is typical baby shower gifts. I want to get her something that she will need for the baby but that no one thinks about as a baby shower gift. Any suggestions please.

My brilliant brother got me an INSTAX MINI 8 camera. It's about $80. I think it is a very unique baby gift idea. ( they have it in baby pink) Whenever ppl come to visit baby we take a picture for them and they get the picture immediately. All of our friends have been loving it!

I'm not sure if it's a baby shower gift or not, but my best friend brought me a huge lasagna & garlic bread when I brought my little one home through the hospital. I still think it was the most meaningful gift I got the whole time!

A baby swing, we love ours. A few of my coworkers decided to pamper me instead of the baby saying mama needs attention too and gave me a gift card for a pedi. I had it done a couple weeks before my due date and it made me smile at the hospital. My mom tends to give families a potty, they need it down the road. A diaper genie is good too.

Aden and Anais swaddle blankets! They are my favorite! I like the play mat idea and giving food!! Or the nose freida! That thing is a life saver and most mommies don't think of it til later.

Diaper cakes are always fun (& who doesn't need diapers?!) & since she's having a girl you can dress it up with headbands & fun girly little rattles & bibs. A little toothbrush/finger brush & toothpaste set is something people don't think about. Medela sterilizing bags are helpful. A bouncy chair or exersaucer. Clothes for when baby is bigger. Books. I've seen an idea on Pinterest where you take your bridesmaid dress (if you were in her wedding) & make a baby blanket/quilt from it. Good luck.

Diapers, wipes, baby shampoo, undershirt onesies.. All things i had to buy and wish i got for my shower. Clothes are great as well, always buy bigger and take into account the weather. Most clothes I got that will fit my son in the summer are long sleeves and fleece!! People never take the time to figure out the season and size
