My son is almost 6 months old and he still wakes up 2 or 3 times at night. I'm starting a sleep routine to see if that helps but does anyone have any other tips? I would love to get a good nights sleep!

Have you tried the cry it out method?

What kind of routine do you have so far? At that age my son went to bed at 8 pm. He got up around 6:30-7. Napped at 9:30, 2 and sometimes a catnap around 5. He may have dropped it by then. I recommend reading about the Ferber method.

Are you still giving a bottle when he wakes? We stopped giving a night time bottle at 6mo and that's when she started sleeping through the night. Good luck <3

We've started the cry it out method but nothing has changed other than we don't have to rock him anymore. Right now I rub him with bedtime lotion, feed him, then sing to him a little before I lay him in his crib. I was breast feeding at night but I stopped when we started the cry it out method now he just wakes up wanting his pacifier

Keep him up as late as you stay up then put him to bed. An hour before you lay him down slowly start turning lights off letting him know that it's about to be bed time. Do this every night for a week once he gets used to it and starts to sleep then start the process a little earlier about 15-30 minutes and eventually he will get the idea.

I know how it feels to want a night sleep, I think I could sleep for a week. My son is 6 1/2 months Im a first time mom and I can't help to feel Im doing everything wrong in getting him to sleep through the night, He wakes up at least 3 time up to 8 times. π³ I've tried not giving him a bottle or picking him up, but it never ends. When I pick him up he's basically already asleep it's very frustrating. I hope we all get some rest soon anyways

What I do is put the pacifier in the crib with him and he would find it on his own but remember don't get him too use to it.

That is a great routine!! I was never able to do CIO. We were lucky, though, she loves getting in her crib for bedtime (most nights). When she does cry I just rub her back until she's calm and then leave her to fall asleep.

I hope it can get that easy!

Just be consistent with whatever you do! My LO turns 1 in a week, it takes some time, but they learn :)

Every baby is different... Some sleep routines work for some babies but not others. My baby just turned 6mo and still gets up 3-4 times at night. That's an improvement thought because it used to be double that or more.
