My son is 5 months old and i am still breastfeeding and formula as well. My family seems to be really annoyed with that, they say he is way too old to be bf. Am i right by still doing this Or are they right and i should stop?

No way! I plan on breast feeding my baby until she's at least 6 months old, then I'll be giving her the breast milk I've been freezing. I want her to have breast milk until she's 1 (hopefully longer!). I plan on still breast feeding her when I'm at home until she starts to bite too much lol dang teeth. Breast milk is so good for growing babies.

You can breastfeed as long as you want! It's recommended to breastfeed for at least a year.

I breast fed until she was one and only stopped because my supply went way too low. Don't allow them to shame you you're being a great mom

some people still breast feed at 2. You are doing the right thing by breast feeding. The longer you do it the stronger your baby will be. Don't let your family upset you. You are doing the right thing for your baby. Stay strong mama! You're doing a great job!! 😊

It is very important and also healty, as for your baby a it is for you to bf untill 1yo. No formula has all those "goodies" that mother's milk has! Search the internet a little and see for yourself all the qualities milk has and all the bennefits of bf.

I stopped at five months because of my milk supply and I still get teary because I wish I could have done it longer. You should do it for as long as you want to, don't let others pressure you. It's a wonderful bond between mother and baby.

Breastfeed as long as you can.

Keep it up mamma! Don't let anybody tell you what you should or shouldn't do when it comes to you and your baby. I could only bf for one month due to lack of supply otherwise I was planning on bf as long as I could. I admire mamas like you! 😊

In Canada they have switched their recommendations; they now recommend breastfeeding until 2 years or beyond! So no, 5 months is not to old at all!

You can BF for as long as you please. I plan on at least doing a year, or until my baby just doesn't want to boob anymore. I've seen babies being BF at almost 2 years old.

Nope women breastfeed in some countries till their kids are 5 not saying I will that long but I plan do for at least a year and longer if my LO want to

Follow your heart, you do what you feel is right BF as long as possible it's the best for the baby. My MIL was so supportive of BFing, at first she said I should do it till he's 2, then one day she switched and would get b**chy when I BF, kept Asking when I was gunna be done, I just kept telling her when I feel like it, it's up to me not you, we stopped going to her house all the time cuz I couldn't feed him for longer then 5 mins without her complaining

Lots of mommies nurse until their LO's are 12-18mos...he's still just an infant. You do it as long as you feel like it...its your baby not there's lol

I totally wish I could've breast fed! You're lucky! Don't let their opinions get to you. You know what's best for your baby.

Hell no formula fed babies get it til they're one! The WHO recommend 2+ years til whenever mama and baby feel comfortable! My goal is a year but I would like to go til two to give my baby the best start I can.
