my baby is almost 6 weeks and I already want to try for another.... I had a c-section and this is my first baby. any advice about trying for another or having another c-section? Should I try to get back in shape before getting pregnant again? What about having babies so close in age? ADVICE PLEASE :)

I think the doctors prefer you to wait a year. To help your body completely recover. But it's not uncommon to get pregnant prior. It's whatever fits you and your family. Personally I am waiting for 3-4 years.

If you are ready and cleared go for it sex hurts in the beginning though so when your body is ready and your ready mentally 👍 I personally am not ready mentally 😔

With a c-section they recommend on waiting for a 2nd one because it takes time for you to heal internally. I was told by one dr to wait 6months to a year. Another dr told be to wait 2 years because in some cases the uterus can rupture during pregnancy because it wasn't fully healed.

Its best to wait atleast 18 months for safety reasons for you and the baby

Getting pregnant too soon can cause issues for the second baby it's best to wait about 18-24 months before trying again give yourself time to let your body heal and to bond with your LO :)

Ask your OB what they recommend. Every dr is different, my dr recommends waiting 6 months to get pregnant after csection. But unplanned pregnancies happen all the time!

I'll be waiting at least 2 years because I don't want to have 2 in diapers at the same time..plus it's better for the child they get the 1 on 1 time they need.

I swore I wouldn't get pregnant again cause I had so many issues being pregnant but now being a mommy totally changed my mind. I love it and I can't wait to do it all over again and I feel like them being close in age I can go ahead and get the baby stage out of the way with both of them. There's a lot to do to prepare obviously though so I'll have to wait. Lol

Just wait. Let your baby grow up a little and then try another one. I got pregnant with my second when my first one was three month. They were like twins. Now they are 5 and 6 but believe me I was exhausted and depressed back then. It's better to have one give him full attention and then after 3 or 4years have another one so you can concentrate on the second one. Believe me it's too much work when both are small.

I felt the same way right after I had my daughter. She was a great baby. Slept all night and was always happy. Now at 15 months, I am so happy I didn't go through with having another one yet. Once they start walking it is hard!! Plus like some of the other girls said with a c section they advise you to wait 18 months so that the muscles can heal.

Close on age in comfortable but very hard on your body! You should give your body at least a year to heal
