I'm potty training Ava bacause these pull-ups are sucking us dry. We put together an online grocery list & had to delete healthy foods in order to keep the diapers on the list and not go over budget, or overdraw the account. So mommy put her war paint on and bravely faced this potty training thing. Though it wasn't a fight like I thought it would be. My Ava was happy to go to the potty when I asked and sit, but I took her 6 times from 8:00am til now & she hasn't tinkled yet! Any advice Moms?βœ¨πŸ™βœ¨

My DD tends to pee more after she drinks juice . I take her every 40 minutes. 1 hour is too long because she tends to have to pee before that. After the first couple days she'll be able to go on her own ( think it was day 3 for me) I honestly kept the potty in her room at first so she could sit and watch tv then slowly transitioned it to the bathroom. Find a method that works best for you and your LO and keep trying.

Totally following! I've been putting it off because we are about to move but my 2 yr old is obsessed.

Also go potty and let her see that you peed in the potty sometimes they follow by example. And cheer for yourself and once she pees cheer for her. I avoided rewards and cheering was enough for my DD

Is she drinking a lot? Give her plenty of fluids and if she starts to go, run her to the potty. She may also be nervous. It took my daughter awhile to be ok with going in the potty. It took her about a week to comfortably go #2. If she doesn't go soon you may have to either sit her up there for awhile until she goes or put her in a pull up and as soon as she goes tell her that what she just did in her pull up she's supposed to do in the "big girl potty" if she holds it too long she can get a UTI

Following. We were doing good the first few days, but I worried when she started to hold her pee for hours and poo for a few days. She would do this when she wore underwear underneath a diaper even during the night. She would wake us up to pee. So I started going back to diapers a few times a day coz I'm afraid she'll have a uti.

I so do that @Ashley D, I cheer, encourage & even let my 3 1/2yr old Mya show her how she potties. @Ashley Romero when my girls and I were staying with family I couldn't trim her the way I wanted. With my first born I kept the pull up off of her so she wouldn't be so comfortable tinkling on herself. She had a couple accidents and then success!! I'm doing the same with my Ava and she has been drinking plenty of water, but she has yet to go, I'm baffled! I just have nothing else to do but wait.πŸ™βœ¨

Thank you so much! You all gave me wonderful advice! I'll keep applying all of this with little one. Even keep her on longer.

I've talked about going that route with my pediatrician, just bunker down for a few days, keep her bottom naked, and just go for it...

Ava held so much in for so long and now I find my feet in a half of cup of tinkle on the kitchen floor! She went potty earlier, but now she decides to let it all out. It must be her nerves. I gently tell her that her tinkle hoes in the potty & not in her pants. I'm still going to take her to the potty frequently but now I'm contemplating leaving her pull-up off. I'm going to stick with it. I need strength. I believe we will get through this together! Prayers please! βœ¨πŸ™βœ¨

Just tell her it's okay but she needs to try and make it to the potty next time. I asked my DD three times if she had to pee and not even five minutes later she peed all over my lap. I'll send you prayers just keep at it momma.
