I started feeding my 8 month old solids and so far she's had applesauce, sweet potato, zucchini, carrots, banana, green beans, pear, tortillas (corn and flour), avocado, and baby cereal. Of all that, she did not like carrots, banana, baby cereal, pear, applesauce, and green beans. What else can I add to her diet? She's EBF.

Haha try mixing some of those with her favorite. For instance, anything my LO doesn't like I mix with sweet potatoes and he loves it

Can I mix sweet and not sweet? Green beans and sweet potato? Pear and zucchini? I've been making her food at home.

Doesn't mean she doesn't like those foods...try again later, at another time. I've been told it takes something like 20 tries before you really know. 😊

Yes, what you do is you put what a little of what they don't like on the spoon and then put what they do like on the spoon in front of that.

I was mixing fruits and veggies because my LO got to a point where he was refusing veggies. So I put veggies on the spoon and then put fruit on too. This method has helped and now he'll eat veggies again!

Butternut squash, cauliflower, asparagus, sweet potato fries or match sticks, black beans, quinoa, rice, lentils (puréed into other stuff), pasta, mango, raspberries, blueberries, etc. (purée these, then make a little thicker) There are so many options! Keep trying the foods she didn't like. Sometimes it takes a few (or 10) tries before they decide they like it. You can mix anything she's already had and passed.

Avocado was/is a favorite!

Mix away! I found that it also helps to add some breastmilk to foods that they may not like and they get gobbled up!

Thank you! I will keep trying. For sure she did not like baby cereal by itself or mixed with banana and breast milk. I have so many options now!

Don't do baby food! A lot of that is either too processed or boiled and gross flavor. Also, remember whatever you eat changes the flavor of your milk which can help expose them to other foods too.

You can also add a little bit of plain yogurt (make sure it is whole milk yogurt, or 10+% milk fat). My LO loves it either on its own, or mixed in with fruit (especially apple sauce!) or veggies.

Baby cereal is the only store bought thing I've fed her and she did not like it! I tasted it and IT IS nasty! I felt so bad for even making her try it. My sister told me I can give her salmon, is that true?
