Are my husband and I really wrong for wanting to throw our baby a HUGE first birthday ? We've been getting a lot of fuss about it ! Is it really wrong to want to celebrate our daughters first year of life with a big party ? She is our biggest blessing and we are probably the proudest parents ever ! We're paying for it anyways ! Why does it matter ?

Do it!! I wanted to throw my son this huge over the top party- pony rides, raffles etc but decided to go in a different direction this time around but he still had a pretty big party!

It's your choice just remember she is not going to remember any of it, so really it's kind of a party for you. We decided to celebrate 1st birthday with family and friends but keep it low key and to wait until our DD was older and could enjoy the party to throw a bash. But again your $,your child and definitely your decision.

We are doing a big party next month for our sons first birthday. Almost 40 friends and family and yes it's really expensive but worth it! It's also a great way to get all of us together because everyone's so busy!

No it doesn't matter. It's all personal preference. I am just doing family big gathering and bbq in backyard with cake and pictures. Not renting hall or anything but it's your baby your choice.

Thank you ladies 😊 I'm just going to have to tune everyone out then . I've been getting A LOT of "it's a party for you, not her " said to me, but I don't see it like that . My birthday is a few days from hers and if I wanted a party for me, I'd throw myself a party. But this is about her and her only . I know she won't remember but we'll have video and photographer there . Oh and when I say HUGE I mean 150-200 people huge πŸ™Š lol We've got big families on both sides and tons of family friends !

No one else needs an opinion about this. Your kid, your decision! It doesn't affect anyone negatively, people need to get a life lol

Do it! We did to. We got a bouncy house for all the kids that were older and some adults toπŸ˜‰ We made a bunch of food and had about 75 people. It was a blast. My LO had so much fun with the kids and wore himself out!

I think people make a stink about it because they say babies won't remember it and they're so little it's not worth spending all that money on stuff. I think it's worth it and I plan on having a nice party for my daughters 1st bday. She will see pictures when she's older and appreciate it I'm sure.
