“I have two kids. My oldest, Kingston Ryle, is two years old. The day I had him my life changed for the better. I had no idea how the impact of being a momma to this little boy would change my life. He is one of the sweetest, happiest little boys I have ever met.
Lennon Roe is two months old. She has been the sweetest baby so far. She lets me get lots of sleep at night, which is always appreciated. I love getting to know her more every day as her personality starts to come out. I think she and her brother will be the best of friends as they grow older.
When my husband and I got married, we knew we would want kids soon. I had always wanted to be a mom and never doubted that that’s what I was made to do. It took us nine months to get pregnant. I struggled leading up to having Kingston. At the time, I was working full time for my dad and absolutely loved what I was doing. When I had Kingston, I went from working full time to being at home with him full time. I constantly battled the negative thoughts that I was leaving a job that I loved to doing something I had never done before. The day I had Kingston, though, my whole life changed. There is nothing I would rather be doing more than raising these littles that I have been blessed with.
When I became a mom, my wants and needs changed to their wants and needs. I’ve always been a big shopper, and now shopping for myself has turned into shopping for them. Little clothes are just too much fun!
I go to my mom and dad for parenting advice. I was raised in a loving family and want the way I parent my littles, to be similar to how my parents raised us. For me, looking to someone who I respect and has gone before me is very important. It is just the kind of advice I want and need.
My favorite thing about being a parent is that I’m able to experience childhood all over again. As Kingston and Lennon get older, my husband and I love incorporating memories and traditions that we grew up doing, and now doing with them.
I came across an instagram shop over a year ago now and decided to try it for myself. At the time, Kingston was 13 months old and I knew that by the time we had our second baby (whether it be a boy or girl), I would want to do the shopping for it all over again because I really enjoyed it. After a couple months, I was able to sell all of the clothes that I no longer wore, as well as sell all of Kingston’s stuff that he outgrew. Now, when my kids outgrow stuff, I have a sale and end up using that money to buy things for them in the next size.
Instagram is also a great place to buy clothing. When I found out we were having a girl, I probably bought half of her clothes off of different instagram stores. I love the community of moms it has become and the relationships I’ve been able to form because of it.”
